Overview

Bros Like This Site (BLTS) is a blog that is meant to keep people up to date on things that a "bro" may like, say, or do. A bro is defined by Urbandictionary.com as, "Obnoxious partying males who are often seen at college parties. When they aren’t making an ass of themselves they usually just stand around holding a red plastic cup waiting for something exciting to happen so they can scream something that demonstrates how much they enjoy partying. Nearly everyone in a fraternity is a bro but there are also many bros who are not in a fraternity. They often wear a rugby shirt and a baseball cap. It is not uncommon for them to have spiked hair with frosted tips. Bros actually chose this name for themselves as they often refer to each other as "bro" even though they are not related."

BLTS was launched on April, 2, 2009 it's inaugural post is titled, Talking About How Wasted They Got. Every BLTS post is written by the blogger called, "Ned's Younger Brother" or as most of the site's frequent posters call him, NYB. BLTS is updated weekly and has 151 posted topics to date. The site has several features including a top viewed section as well as a definitions page which defines different types of "bros" based on geography. For example, there are separate posts for, "The Masshole" and "The DC Bro". Each BLTS post follows the same format; first NYB gives an overview of the topic say its, Blindly Hating Opposing Fans, NYB explains, "Everyone knows bros love sports. Bros also have that one team that they live and die with. For me and my bros, it’s the Redskins. Sure, its been a tough 15 odd years to be a fan, what with our favorite players getting murdered and all, but we still stick by them. Throughout the years the team turns over so frequently that you really end up just rooting for the colors of the team more than anything. Through all the changes, one thing remains constant: You absolutely hate the rival teams. When asked about why bros hate the teams, often it will have little to do with the players themselves, it’s the fans. Personally I can not stand Eagles fans, and to be honest, I lose a huge amount of respect for anyone that tells me they are fans of the Birds. But it’s not just the arch-rivals that bros hate. On game day, it doesn’t matter who you are playing, if you show up in the opposing team’s jersey chances are bros are going to hate you. Here are a few ways that bros will let you know about your team:" Following the overview, NYB always breaks the post into subheadings such as, Alcohol, The opposing city, Reminding them their players are thugs, and Age doesn't matter.
